Budget estimate

$1,500,000 – $2,500,000

Based on 10‑15 beds for a full year, the State will pay the Medicaid daily rate (estimated $300‑$350 per day) plus a CDHS incentive (estimated $150‑$200 per day) for occupied beds, and a lower vacancy rate (estimated $80‑$120 per day) when beds are empty. Assuming an average occupancy of 85 % across 12 beds, annual reimbursement could range from roughly $1.5 million (lower‑end rates, fewer occupied days) to $2.5 million (higher‑end rates, higher occupancy). The final amount will depend on actual daily rates negotiated, occupancy levels, and any additional step‑down or after‑care services billed.
