Description

The City of Riverside seeks a qualified vendor to fully manage its adult recreational soccer leagues at Bobby Bonds Park. The contractor will handle all aspects of league operation—including marketing, team registration, scheduling, referee recruitment, field maintenance, equipment provision, statistical reporting, and financial revenue‑share accounting—on a year‑round basis across four seasonal leagues and occasional tournaments. The contract is a 2‑year initial term with up to three one‑year extensions, and compensation is based on a percentage of gross registration receipts (City receives 27.5 % of season fees and 22.5 % of tournament fees). The vendor must meet minimum qualifications (≥5 years relevant experience, no recent bankruptcies, required licenses, insurance, background checks) and submit a full narrative and cost proposal by 2 PM PT on 3 March 2026. • Complete end‑to‑end administration of adult soccer leagues (registration, scheduling, officiating, field upkeep, equipment, awards). • Revenue‑share model: vendor retains ~72.5 % of team fees ($730 per team per 12‑week season) and must remit City’s share within 30 days of season/tournament close. • Required insurance (minimum $1 M general liability, $2 M aggregate) and LiveScan background checks for all personnel. • Contract term: 2 years initial, renewable up to a total of 5 years, with performance‑based extensions.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $400,000

The contract is revenue‑share based. Assuming an average of 50 teams per season at $730 each, gross seasonal revenue ≈ $36,500; the City’s 27.5 % share ≈ $10,000, leaving the vendor ≈ $26,500 per season. With four seasons per year, annual vendor revenue ≈ $106,000. Adding occasional tournaments (which raise the vendor’s share to ~77.5 % of tournament fees) could push annual earnings to $150,000‑$200,000. Over the 2‑year base term, total earnings might range from $100,000 to $400,000 depending on participation levels, number of tournaments, and ancillary services (equipment sales, sponsorships).
