Description

The United States Air Force is seeking to procure High Quantum Efficiency Balanced Homodyne Detectors from Noisy Labs GmbH, as they are the only known vendor that commercially offers these systems. The detectors are required for use in distributed quantum sensing demonstrations in a fielded quantum network. The Government has determined that other companies' products and services do not meet or cannot be modified to meet their needs. The required detectors must have superior performance, including >95% detection efficiency, integrated low pass signal filtering, an error signal port, and integrated transimpedance amplification. * The detectors will be used in a quantum network based on squeezed light distribution. * The same exact Balanced Homodyne Detectors are required for equipment uniformity across the experimental setup. * The detectors must be compatible with previously purchased Noisy Labs hardware. * The Government intends to make a sole source award to Noisy Labs for this requirement.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide information on the exact number of detectors required or their unit price. However, considering the complexity and specialization of the required detectors, the budget could be substantial. Assuming a small to moderate quantity of detectors, the budget could range from $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the detectors are high-end, specialized devices with a relatively high unit price. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of detectors required, the unit price of each detector, and any additional costs associated with the procurement, such as testing and integration.
