Cleaning of City Vehicles

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking bids for the cleaning of city vehicles. The contract will be for a period of two years, with two one-year options to renew. The city is looking for vendors who can provide exterior and interior cleaning services for vehicles, including police cars, vans, and fire vehicles. The vendor must be able to accommodate vehicles up to 7'8" in height. The city reserves the right to service any vehicle at any designated awarded site. The vendor will be required to submit monthly invoices and provide records of vehicles cleaned. Some of the key responsibilities of the vendor include: • Removing and vacuuming car mats • Vacuuming the complete interior of the vehicle • Emptying ashtrays • Cleaning all interior windows • Wiping all interior surfaces • Providing a hot wax finish on the exterior of the vehicle • Cleaning the undercarriage of the vehicle (seasonal service during winter months) The city is committed to providing equal opportunities to all citizens and encourages the participation of disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) in the contract.
