The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate with Belmont Instrument Corporation for the purchase of a rapid fluid warmer to meet the needs of the soon to be established Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The requirement includes all equipment, parts, labor, travel, and onsite installation, as well as a 5-year warranty. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. • The NIH-CC is seeking a rapid fluid warmer for the PICU. • The requirement includes all equipment, parts, labor, travel, and onsite installation. • A 5-year warranty is required. • The vendor shall provide expertise to coordinate issues and documentation in case of adverse patient incidents.
