Description
The County of El Dorado is seeking a qualified firm to provide as-needed engineering services for structural steel replacement, retrofit, and repair of County steel structures and other associated transportation infrastructure. The selected firm will be required to enter into a three-year agreement with the County. The scope of work includes performing structural inspections, material testing, and analysis of structural elements, as well as providing engineering support during construction. The firm must have experience working with California local governments and be familiar with AASHTO, FHWA, and Caltrans design and applicable contract standards.
• The firm will be required to provide a written quote for each as-needed work assignment.
• The firm will be required to perform services in accordance with the County's procedures and applicable manuals.
• The firm will be required to comply with all applicable prevailing wage laws and regulations.
• The firm will be required to have a complete understanding of both County and California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) procedures and all applicable manuals necessary to complete the scope of services.
• The firm must have and demonstrate their experience in providing as-needed engineering services for structural steel replacement, retrofit, and repair.
