Description

This grant provides Nebraska public‑health clinics with reimbursement funds to purchase colposcopy equipment and to train clinicians in colposcopy procedures. Funding is limited to $15,000 per equipment request and up to $4,000 per training participant (online or in‑person, with travel costs covered for the latter). All expenses must be pre‑approved, documented with receipts, and reimbursed within 60 days of payment. The program is managed by the Nebraska DHHS Adolescent & Reproductive Health Programs. • Eligible applicants are Nebraska clinics that perform follow‑up after abnormal Pap tests. • Equipment purchases may include colposcopes, biopsy tools, cryotherapy units, or LEEP devices, with a required vendor quote. • Training may be taken online through ASCCP or in‑person, with travel costs subject to GSA per‑diem and lodging rates. • Reimbursement‑only award; no advance funds; all costs must stay within the “not‑to‑exceed” caps.

Budget estimate

$5,000 – $23,000

The maximum reimbursable amount per request is $15,000 for equipment plus $4,000 per training participant. Assuming a typical clinic requests one equipment set and sends two clinicians for in‑person training (registration + travel), total reimbursement could reach roughly $15,000 + (2 × $4,000) = $23,000. Many smaller requests may only include equipment or a single trainee, so the likely budget range is approximately $5,000 to $23,000. Factors influencing the amount include the number of trainees, travel distance, and whether lodging stays within GSA rates.
