Description
The ScholarShare Investment Board is seeking a qualified 529 industry consultant to provide ongoing expertise on the 529 industry, including trends, marketing and distribution strategies, 529 plan comparison analyses, assistance with writing request for proposals, and analysis of ScholarShare 529, CalKIDS, and program manager’s marketing plans and performance. The consultant will provide general strategic consulting advice, make recommendations on program design and structure, and provide information and insight on the 529 industry. The scope of work includes providing 529 plan trends, best practices, and comparative analysis, assisting with evaluation of marketing and administrative benchmarks, reviewing disclosure language, and participating in meetings with SIB staff, program manager(s), fund managers, stakeholders, and/or outside agencies or research companies.
• Provide general strategic consulting advice for ScholarShare 529 and CalKIDS
• Make recommendations on program design and structure
• Provide information and insight on the 529 industry
• Assist with evaluation of marketing and administrative benchmarks
• Review disclosure language and keep abreast of regulatory issues
• Participate in meetings with SIB staff, program manager(s), fund managers, stakeholders, and/or outside agencies or research companies
