Description

The Colorado Department of Natural Resources is seeking a consultant to provide engineering analysis of surface water and groundwater depletions associated with the Crystal River State Fish Hatchery. The project will include quantification of depletions, evaluation of current and anticipated future river administration and call scenarios, and identification of available replacement sources. The consultant will also assist in developing a draft water court application and provide support for water court phase activities if necessary. Key tasks include project management, site inspection, engineering analysis, and development of a draft engineering report. The consultant will work closely with CPW staff and stakeholders to ensure the project meets the State's needs and is completed in a timely manner. • The project will be completed in two phases, with the initial phase focusing on engineering analysis and development of a draft engineering report. • The second phase will include technical support for water court activities, including development of a preliminary engineering report and expert witness testimony. • The consultant will be required to provide monthly progress reports and attend regular meetings with CPW staff. • The project will require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including CPW staff, the Attorney General's Office, and other relevant parties.
