Design Services for Williamson Boulevard Widening (Madeline Avenue to Town West Boulevard)

The County of Volusia is seeking professional engineering design services to widen Williamson Boulevard from a 2-lane rural section to a 4-lane divided rural section. The project includes widening the existing bridge over I-95 and modifying median openings at various intersections. The selected consultant will be required to provide a complete set of construction contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. The project aims to increase the capacity of the existing corridor. • The project requires extensive coordination with FDOT District Five for review of all construction-related documents. • The consultant must consider leaving the existing bridge in place and constructing a new bridge on the west side of the existing bridge. • The project includes modification to full median openings at Town Park Drive, Willow Run Boulevard, McGinnis Avenue/Hockney Court, and Town West Boulevard. • The consultant must provide a complete set of construction contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. • The project requires compliance with FEMA regulations and Federal Contract Provisions.
