Toxicology Services

The County of Fresno is soliciting bids to establish an agreement for toxicology testing and expert testimony services. The successful bidder will provide services to the Sheriff's Coroner and Forensic Lab and the District Attorney's Office. The scope of work includes evidentiary toxicology laboratory testing, daily pick-up service, expert testimony in court, and written analysis results. The bidder must comply with all requirements and conditions stated in the RFQ, including providing a written protocol, maintaining a chain of possession, and storing samples in compliance with regulations. • The bidder must have the ability to test for and detect commonly abused psychoactive drugs and therapeutic non-psychoactive drugs. • The bidder must have the ability to test for and quantify human chemistry electrolytes, basic urea nitrogen, glucose, acetone, cholinesterase, prostatic acid phosphatase, and type, RH and subfactor human blood. • The bidder must have access to provide routine Bacterial, Viral and Fungal Cultures. • The bidder must have the ability to detect, test for, and quantify levels of solvents, volatiles and heavy metals. The contract term is three years, with the option to renew for two one-year periods. The bidder must submit a completed reference list, quotation schedule, and checklist with their bid package.
