Construction Management, Inspection, and Public Outreach Services - CIP 41410 and CIP 418164

The City of Placerville is seeking a qualified firm to provide construction management, inspection, and public outreach services for the Placerville Drive Bridge Replacement and Placerville Drive Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Phase 1 projects. The selected firm will be responsible for providing a range of services, including bidding support, preconstruction services, administration of the construction contract, public outreach, quality control, materials testing, inspection, and surveying quality control. The firm will also be required to provide a field site representative who is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California. • The Placerville Drive Bridge Replacement project involves the demolition of the existing bridge and the construction of a new two-lane bridge with a center turn lane, bike lanes, and sidewalks. • The Placerville Drive Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Phase 1 project involves the construction of safe and accessible bicycle and pedestrian facilities on Placerville Drive from Ray Lawyer Drive to Cold Springs Road and on Green Valley Road from Mallard Lane to Ray Lawyer Drive. • The City intends to construct both projects under one construction contract and award one agreement for construction management, inspection, and public outreach services. • The selected firm will be required to develop a detailed scope of work and identify deliverables based on knowledge of City and Caltrans/FHWA procedures and understanding of the project. • The firm will also be required to provide a quality assurance review of the draft plans and specifications for both projects.
