HERITAGE WAY TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS ALONG GREAT MEADOW RD & MARSH ST PHASES 1 AND 2

The Town of Wethersfield is seeking a contractor to complete bicycle and pedestrian improvements along approximately 4,900 linear feet of Marsh St and Great Meadow Rd. The project includes construction of a new 8’ and 10’ wide, paved multi-use trail, installation of concrete sidewalk and ramps, wooden split rail fence, metal beam guide rail, signage, and trail lighting. The project also involves reconstruction and re-alignment of the Marsh St and Broad St intersection, removal and installation of pavement markings and signs, drainage improvements, limited road widening, and incidental work. The contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including set-aside and non-discrimination requirements. • The project requires construction of a new multi-use trail and installation of various features such as sidewalks, fencing, and lighting. • The project involves reconstruction and re-alignment of an intersection and removal and installation of pavement markings and signs. • The project is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including set-aside and non-discrimination requirements. • The project requires earthwork to provide compensatory flood storage volume due to its location in regulated floodplain areas.
