7G--Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source contract to RDO Equipment Co. for the purchase of TOPCON Hiper XR GNSS receivers, data collectors, and Pocket 3D software. The contract is for a firm fixed price and is expected to be awarded under the authority of FAR subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii). The requirement is for accurate construction layout, grade control, and as-built data collection, and the equipment must integrate with existing TOPCON machine control systems. • The contract is for a sole source award, and the contractor must be an authorized TOPCON dealer. • The contractor must offer trade-in value for existing units to reduce acquisition cost. • The contractor must provide full support for equipment, including 24/7 field assistance and nationwide coverage. • The cost is expected to be fair and reasonable from this source. • The contract is expected to be awarded under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT).
