Kretsinger Road Culvert Replacement and Streambank Stabilization

The Kretsinger Road Structure Replacement and Streambank Stabilization project involves replacing a single-span concrete slab bridge with a 14’x6’ precast reinforced box culvert, as well as downstream streambank stabilization, constructing cast-in-place concrete headwalls, placement of riprap, asphalt paving, and installing traffic barriers. The project will be conducted in two phases, with all work to be done in accordance with the MDOT SHA Specifications. The project is estimated to cost between $500,001 and $1,000,000. • The project requires the replacement of a bridge structure on Kretsinger Road in Washington County. • The project includes streambank stabilization per Maryland Guidelines for Waterway Construction. • The project requires the construction of cast-in-place concrete headwalls and wingwalls. • The project requires the placement of riprap and asphalt paving. • The project requires the installation of traffic barriers. • The project has a proposed Notice to Proceed date of April 2026 and a proposed calendar date of completion of September 2026. • The project has a liquidated damages clause of $500.00 per consecutive calendar day. • The project requires the Contractor to employ a competent Superintendent or Foreman who shall be in attendance at the Project site during performance of the Work.
