Description
The California Department of Education (CDE) is seeking a qualified security firm to provide unarmed standing guard services at the Diagnostic Center Southern California (DCSC) in Los Angeles. The contractor must supply one guard for each daytime shift (approximately 11 days per month) and one guard for each nighttime shift (7 days/week), perform active patrols, respond to alarms, and submit daily security reports. The contract is a 12‑month base period with two optional one‑year extensions, and the bid must be submitted by 18 Aug 2026.
• Daytime coverage: 8 am‑4:30 pm, Mon‑Fri, ~121 days per year.
• Nighttime coverage: 8 pm‑5 am, 7 days/week, ~334 nights per year.
• Requires BSIS‑certified guards, DOJ/FBI background checks, insurance (≥ $1 M CGL & auto), and daily reporting to the CDE contract monitor.
