R--IMPERIAL COUNTY RCS RADIO SYSTEM SERVICES

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking to procure Regional Communications System (RCS) 12-month subscriptions for thirty BLM-owned radios. The RCS supports BLM's tri-band radios and enables public safety voice and data communication across more than 116 agencies in San Diego and Imperial counties. The system is essential for law enforcement officers to maintain uninterrupted communication with partnering agencies and to coordinate activities and incidents. The procurement will be made under the Simplified Procedures as authorized by RFO 12.101, and the contract will be a firm fixed price contract. • The RCS improves interoperability and officer safety, offering over sixty percent better coverage than BLM’s current VHF system. • The system enables law enforcement rangers and special agents to coordinate activities and incidents with various agencies. • The procurement includes a base period plus four one-year options. • The Bureau of Land Management requires an effective solution that ensures dedicated, encrypted talk groups across the public service radio system serving San Diego and Imperial Counties.
