Description
The US Navy is seeking a vendor to provide a temporary water heater package for rental at the Naval Base New London in Groton, CT. The package must include an electric water heater, temperature and pressure monitoring capability, and safety, control, and isolation valves. The system must be frame/skid mounted with fork truck pockets and lifting pad eyes. The rental period is from 12/16/2025 to 03/09/2026, with an option to extend from 03/10/2026 to 03/23/2026. The vendor must provide a completed technical specification sheet and demonstrate compliance with the specifications.
• The water heater must have a minimum output of 600,000 BTU/hr and be powered by a 480 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz power source.
• The system must have a bottom drain valve, air vent valve, and temperature and pressure gauges.
• The vendor must provide a qualified service technician for repairs and maintenance.
• The vendor must provide training sessions to Shipyard personnel on the operation and setup of the equipment.
