Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando VA Healthcare System, is seeking professional design-build services to develop and furnish the design and construction for the repair of the existing east and west parking garages on the Lake Nona campus. The project will address critical structural supporting elements and life safety concerns. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and design-build services necessary for the design and construction of the project.
• The project includes the repair of the east and west parking garages, with a focus on medium and high-priority deficiencies.
• The contractor shall provide a temporary traffic control plan and a phasing plan to ensure the parking garage remains in operation during construction.
• The contractor shall hire a third-party American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to conduct impartial quality control of welding processes and finished products.
• The contractor shall provide written daily reports on all construction activity to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
• The contractor shall receive and store all their equipment and material at a designated location coordinated with the COR.
