Camping World Stadium Playing Field Replacement

The City of Orlando is seeking proposals for the replacement of the playing field at Camping World Stadium. The primary objective is to provide a cost-effective synthetic turf surface that meets the newly established criteria adopted by the National Football League (NFL) - National Football League Player's Association (NFLPA) Joint Surface Safety and Performance Committee. The selected contractor will be responsible for removing the existing surface, assessing and preparing the base, installing a new synthetic turf surface, and providing maintenance and training to the stadium operations team. The project must minimize the negative impacts of synthetic turf disposal and the release of microplastics. Key considerations include: * Compliance with NFL performance standards * 8-year total lifespan of the system * Environmental health and safety objectives * Advanced waste management and strict compliance with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and Heavy Metal material testing * Coordination with the City's other contractors and stakeholders * Mandatory pre-proposal conference and site visit * Proposers must provide distinct pricing and execution plans for two approaches: Approach A (Post Jaguars Infill Replacement) and Approach B (Unified Infill Solution) * Proposers must provide a minimum 8-year non-prorated third-party insured warranty * Proposers must provide hands-on training to the facility staff and post-construction field maintenance services Some of the key requirements for the project include: * Removal of the existing AstroTurf system * Installation of a new synthetic turf surface that meets NFL performance standards * Assessment and preparation of the base, including evaluation of the existing Brock pad and stone base * Coordination with the City's irrigation installer and athletic equipment vendor/installer * Provision of maintenance equipment and protocols required by the stadium operations team * Hands-on training to the facility staff * Post-construction field maintenance services The City of Orlando is committed to environmental health and safety objectives and expects the selected contractor to prioritize these considerations in their proposal.
