Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify alternative sources for a Cryogenic noise thermometer. The thermometer will be used in a metrology setting to disseminate the SI kelvin for cryogenic quantum computing and sensing applications. The contractor shall deliver a quantity of one Cryogenic Noise Thermometer with required accessories and add-ons. The technical specifications include a brand-name or equal requirement for a Magnicon MFFT-1 Noise Thermometer.
• The Cryogenic noise thermometer must be capable of semi-primary operation.
• It must have an operation range of at least 0.001 K to 4.2 K.
• It must have a linear temperature range of at least 0.01 K to 1 K.
• It must have a maximum temperature resolution in 30 s measurement time of 1%.
• It must have a maximum power dissipation of 200 pW.
• It must be calibrated by the manufacturer with traceability to the SI.
• It must be capable of calibration by the end user by immersion into liquid helium.
• It must include all bias and readout electronics necessary for operation.
• It must include Windows-compatible software for computer-controlled operation.
