EXECUTIVE SEARCH (ACADEMICS) USCG ACADEMY

The United States Coast Guard Academy is seeking an executive search firm to conduct a nationally competitive process for hiring its academic deans. The selected firm will be responsible for developing a compelling position profile, recruiting and screening top talent, facilitating candidate engagement, and supporting the Academy’s selection and assessment process. The firm should have robust higher education expertise and a nationally proven track record of tailored client support and effective results placing leaders at academic institutions. • The search process will include virtual or in-person meetings with Academy leaders, the search committee, faculty, and other stakeholders. • The firm will conduct comprehensive candidate due diligence, including personal referencing, media and public record reviews, employment and education verification, and screening for allegations of harassment or discrimination. • The firm will provide transition support by staying in close contact with USCGA and the newly appointed Dean, offering feedback to all assessed candidates, and conducting an individual assessment feedback session with the selected candidate. • The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the primary place of performance being virtually at contractor discretion and the secondary place of performance being at the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard Academy, 33 Mohegan Avenue, New London CT 06320.
