Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Consolidated Mail-Out Pharmacy (CMOP) is proposing to negotiate a firm fixed price, sole source award with Atos Medical for the Brand Name Medical Surgical Provox supplies. The medical surgical Provox items have been prescribed to patients by VA Physicians and are "Brand Specific" products. No Manufacture Part Number (MPN) substitutions are permitted. The proposed award will be issued as a firm fixed price order under the existing FSS Contract Number: 36F79722D0056. The items to be procured include Heat and Moisture Exchangers and Trach Baseplate Adhesives.
• The proposed order qualifies as a logical continuation of prior procurements from Atos Medical.
• The continuity of sourcing from the same OEM ensures consistency in performance, compatibility with existing systems, and avoids unnecessary duplication of cost or effort.
• The government will utilize the already established FSS/GSA per authority of subpart 537.71 GSA ordering guidelines.
• Market research was completed, and it was determined that the supplies are not available from mandatory sources and that Atos Medical is the only manufacturer that can provide the required supplies.
