Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking sources for a commercial isothermal titration calorimeter (ITC) capable of accommodating suspensions of solids in addition to conventional liquid handling. The ITC will be used to study ion interactions with membrane and sorbent species suspended in solution. The key requirements for the ITC include temperature control, calorimeter heat flow sensing, injection and stirring, cell volume and components, and software. The supplier must provide documented evidence of past performance of the item via peer-reviewed publication(s) documenting instrument performance in an ITC experiment.
• The ITC must be able to accommodate flake/powder suspensions
• The ITC must have a thermostat range of 15 degrees C to 80 degrees C
• The ITC must have a long-term stability of ± 0.00001 degrees C in 24 hours at 25 degrees C
• The ITC must have a calorimeter heat flow sensing with short term noise less than ± 10 nW
• The ITC must have a precision of ± 300 nW or lower
• The ITC must be able to calibrate against a reference sample or experiment
