The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to award a sole source contract to Caterpillar Inc. for the provision of a Compact Track Loader with Forestry attachments (CAT 275XE) for the Camp Nellis AFB Wildland Fire Branch. The contract is for commercial services under NAICS code 333120, Construction Machinery Manufacturing. The FWS is seeking a supplier that can provide the preferred hydraulic cooler, operator controls, and service and support for the equipment. The supplier must also be able to travel onto Air Force bases to service and support the equipment. • The contract is for a firm-fixed priced Task Order. • The equipment will be used for fuels management and control burns on Air Force bases. • The FWS anticipates work to begin on the delivery of the supply after receipt of the delivery/purchase order. • The contract is not a request for competitive quotes, but responsible sources may submit a capability statement to demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
