Rental of a steam heat exchanger and associated components

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking to lease a steam heat exchanger and associated components. The system must include a steam heat exchanger, temperature, pressure, and flow monitoring capability, and safety, control, and isolation valves. The system must be frame/skid mounted with fork truck pockets and lifting pad eyes. The lease period is 6 months with options to extend. The contractor will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and training. Key features of the system include: • Operating capacity of 1.7 MMBH heat output at a freshwater flowrate of 100 GPM • Steam inlet and condensate outlet adapted to accept 1-1/2 IN diameter threaded ground fittings • Freshwater inlet and outlet adapted to 2-1/2 IN diameter cam and groove quick-disconnect fittings • Safety, control, and isolation valves made of non-ferrous metal • Temperature, pressure, and flow monitoring capability • Optional: freshwater outlet flow switch to control steam delivery
