The Smith Hammond Middleton Convocation Center Replacement project involves the construction of a new 120,500 square foot facility to replace the existing Staley Hall. The new building will serve as a shared space for the College of Education and Athletics schools, as well as the University's Convocation Center, with an estimated capacity of 4,000 to 5,000 students.
