Memorial Park Improvements

The Memorial Park Improvements project involves the dredging of an existing pond and forebay, and the construction of a new fiberglass pedestrian bridge, storm sewer system, sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paving, signage and marking, and landscaping. The project requires a contractor with a Georgia General Contractor’s License and/or a prequalified contractor with the Georgia Department of Transportation. The estimated range of the project is between $4,000,000 and $4,500,000. • The project includes dredging and construction work. • A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on December 17, 2025. • Bidders must submit their bids by January 8, 2026. • The project requires compliance with various regulations, including the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and the Athens-Clarke County Business Inclusion Policy. • The contractor will be required to provide a bid bond, performance bond, and payment bond.
