FY26 Auditorium Air Wall Replacement Project

The Cecil County Health Department is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to furnish and install two new electronically operated operable air wall systems in their auditorium. The existing walls are approximately 14 feet high and 35 feet wide and divide the auditorium into three conference rooms. The new walls must provide enhanced sound attenuation, integrated power capability, and reliable operation suitable for frequent reconfiguration of the space. The project timeline requires work to commence as soon as possible following issuance of Notice to Proceed and shall be fully completed no later than June 30, 2026. Key requirements of the project include: • Sound Transmission Class (STC): Minimum 50 STC • Height: Approximately 14 feet • Width: Approximately 35 feet per wall • Configuration: Straight operable walls capable of dividing the auditorium into three rooms • Operation: Electronically operated opening and closing is mandatory • Safety Features: Redundant safety systems are required, including obstruction sensors and emergency manual override capability The selected contractor shall be responsible for conducting a site visit, providing design assistance and technical specifications, removing and disposing of the existing air walls, furnishing and installing the new air wall systems, and providing warranties and closeout documentation.
