Description
The Department of Human Services is seeking to purchase an Automated Immunochemistry Analyzer from Abbott Laboratories. The analyzer will be used for laboratory testing and will include equipment, service, and consumables. The contract term is 4 years, from July 2024 to July 2028, and the total cost is estimated to be $144,757 per year. The department believes that only Abbott Laboratories can provide the necessary goods and services, as their consumables are only compatible with their systems. The addition of a second platform will allow for duplication of testing and provide uniformity across the laboratory and network.
Some key features of the contract include:
• Equipment (lease): $60,000 annually
• Service: $25,999.99 annually
• Consumables: $58,756.60 annually
• Chemistry menu: same as RFP IHJA 2024*0139 response with no annual commitments
• Immunology menu: includes tests such as Troponin-I, Prolactin, and Free T 4
• Test menu: includes chemistry and immunology tests with no annual commitments
