Description
The U.S. Embassy Lilongwe is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the provision of janitorial services at the U.S. Embassy Compound, NICO House, Public Diplomacy, and Embassy Warehouse in Area 4. The contract will be for a one-year period with a possible extension. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to perform the work. The scope of work includes standard services such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning of restrooms, as well as periodic and monthly cleaning requirements.
* Standard services: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of restrooms, etc.
* Periodic and monthly cleaning requirements: polishing brass surfaces, dusting tops of furniture, spot cleaning baseboards and walls, etc.
* Temporary additional services: supporting special events, emergencies, and residences.
* The contractor will be required to provide qualified personnel, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and control overtime.
* The contractor will be responsible for maintaining discipline at the site, taking precautions to prevent unlawful conduct, and preserving peace and protecting persons and property on site.
