RFP - On-Call Traffic Data Collection Services

The City of Knoxville is seeking proposals from responsible firms to provide traffic data collection services at various locations throughout the City on an as-needed basis. The contract term will be for one year with two optional one-year renewals. The selected firm will be responsible for providing traffic data collection services, including non-signalized intersection turning movement counts, signalized intersection turning movement counts, directional volume counts, and speed data. The firm will be required to deliver the results electronically in an easy-to-read format. • The City of Knoxville has a population of over 190,000 and maintains approximately 1,000 miles of streets and 400 signalized intersections within its jurisdictional limits. • The City collects traffic data for updating traffic signal timing, determining eligibility for its Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program, and other routine engineering studies. • The selected firm will be required to provide a schedule for data collection services as part of their proposal. • The City of Knoxville reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all submissions of proposals. • The City will evaluate proposals based on qualifications/experience of the firm, pricing/cost, examples of projects, and client references.
