Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a certified vendor to provide the lease for installation and maintenance upkeep of one new Mail Meter Machine for the Montgomery VA Regional Office in Alabama. The contract will have a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. The contractor will be responsible for conducting a field site survey, installing the mail meter machine, providing training to personnel, and performing routine maintenance and repairs. The mail meter machine must meet specific minimum specifications, including a touch screen and keypad for input, a minimum 50 lb. weighing platform, and Ethernet connectivity. The contractor must also provide a fully qualified on-site technician and maintain a spare parts inventory.
Key requirements include:
• Providing a mail meter machine with IMI meter technology
• Conducting a field site survey to verify measurements and site conditions
• Installing the mail meter machine and certifying all connections
• Providing training to personnel and performing routine maintenance and repairs
• Responding to emergency requests within 4 hours
• Maintaining a spare parts inventory to keep the meter machine continuously operating
