The Fayette County Engineer’s office is seeking competitive bids for the dewatering building component of the Rattlesnake Water System Improvements. The contract (A‑1) covers demolition of existing treatment‑plant structures, construction of a new dewatering building, installation of owner‑provided equipment (dewatering press, conveyors, control panels, polymer/alum feed skids), and associated civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. The project must remain operational during construction and comply with Ohio state‑wide water‑development funding requirements.
• Demolition of existing building components and removal of obsolete equipment.
• New concrete foundations, structural steel, standing‑seam metal roof, and a chemical tote storage area.
• Installation of dewatering press, conveyors, control panels, and chemical feed equipment supplied by the owner.
• Comprehensive submittal, quality‑control, and warranty requirements; 8 % retainage, performance & payment bonds, and a Substantial Completion target of March 1 2027.
