Annette Island, AK Remedial Investigation (RI) and Remedial Action (RA) for Site 51 and 53

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to perform remedial investigation (RI) and remedial action (RA) at two sites on Annette Island, Alaska. The project involves the removal of contaminated soil and groundwater, as well as the excavation and disposal of a peat layer saturated with petroleum. The contractor will need to have experience working with the Metlakatla Indian Community Environmental Council and City policies, as well as experience with similar projects in the last five years. The contractor will be required to submit a work plan, conduct fieldwork, and manage water accumulation and runoff from the site. • The contractor must have experience with the regulations of the Metlakatla Indian Community Environmental Council and City policies. • The contractor must have experience working on similar projects within the last five years. • The contractor must be able to manage water accumulation and runoff from the site. • The contractor must be able to excavate and dispose of contaminated soil and groundwater. • The contractor must be able to work with the FAA and the Metlakatla Indian Community to protect old growth trees and other sensitive areas.
