ULSTER COUNTY COURTHOUSE SPACE PLANNING STUDY

The Ulster County Department of Public Works is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to perform a comprehensive space needs assessment for the Ulster County Courthouse. The assessment should include evaluating the efficiency of existing spaces, determining potential needs, analyzing opportunities for space optimization, and providing a general review of the condition of building structures and systems. The consultant will develop space programming and prepare detailed cost estimates. The project will involve a 6-month contract period with an option to renew for an additional 6 months. • The consultant will evaluate current workspaces and workflow within the building and identify unused or underutilized areas. • The consultant will develop conceptual plans and a scope of renovations in consultation with the New York State Court System and the Office of Court Administration. • The consultant will determine the appropriate square footage needed per employee and recommend procedures to right-size the existing space portfolio. • The consultant will forecast future space needs and recommend options considering departmental mission requirements, evolving regulations, and alternative workplace arrangements. • The consultant will provide a final report summarizing all findings, recommendations, and potential project cost estimates.
