Description
The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to repair the Yosemite Overhead Distribution Line at Yosemite National Park. The project involves repairing and restoring commercial distribution power to Wawona Tunnel. The contractor will be required to provide all supervision, labor, equipment, testing, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The project must be completed within 5 days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The contractor must also provide a site-specific safety and health plan and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and occupational health laws and regulations.
Some key aspects of the project include:
* Repairing the 2.4 kV solid #2 copper conductor
* Working on 45-50 ft steel poles
* Coordinating with NPS for de-energization and grounding
* Implementing environmental protections in steep and remote terrain
* Completing all work within the 5-day performance period
The contractor will be evaluated based on price, schedule, technical approach, and past performance.
