The Placer County Water Agency is seeking to purchase two complete, factory-assembled, unmanned remote-controlled lagoon dredging systems. The systems must be suitable for the removal of biosolids, sludges, sediment, and residuals from a storage lagoon or basin without greatly dewatering the lagoons or requiring the addition of dilution water. The successful bidder will be required to satisfy all current legal requirements applicable to this work. Key features of the contract include:
• The new dredging systems shall be a Mudcat Dredge model MC-30E manufactured by Liquid Waste Technology, or its equivalent.
• The existing dredge models are obsolete, and their closest equivalent in production is the Mudcat MC-30E.
• The new dredge systems once installed will rely on several existing interface points from the existing dredges and dredge systems.
• The Agency will not be replacing or modifying these existing systems.
• The new dredge and dredge system must be capable of being installed, tested, and commissioned into these existing site conditions.
