Description
The County of Riverside sought proposals from qualified providers to offer food management services for the Rustin Café, located at 2085 Rustin Avenue in Riverside, California. The café aims to provide healthy, high-quality food options at reasonable prices to employees, visitors, and consumers. The awarded contractor would have been responsible for managing and operating the café, including providing barista services, supplying pre-prepared packaged "grab-n-go" food, and participating in a vocational program to employ and train individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use challenges.
• The Rustin Café features a service area and a dining area with tables and chairs to seat 48 people.
• The County will contribute to the operation by providing the facility, utilities, furniture, and specified equipment.
• The awarded contractor would have been expected to support and participate in a vocational program to employ and train individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use challenges.
• The contract includes an option for the awarded contractor to offer catering services for meetings and events held at the Rustin Building.
