Grounds Maintenance Services for Pocket Parks and Right-of-Way Median

The Town of Miami Lakes is seeking to award contracts for Grounds Maintenance Services for Pocket Parks and Street Rights of Way/Medians. The contracts will be awarded to three vendors for each area, with the primary vendor performing the services for the life of the contract unless performance issues arise. The Town will terminate the contract with the primary vendor and move on to the secondary vendor if necessary. The contracts will be for a period not to exceed 60 months, with an estimated aggregate contract amount of $5,719,238. The services include grounds maintenance for pocket parks, neighborhood parks, landscaped areas, and right-of-way medians. The vendors will be paid only for work that meets the required performance standards. • The Town issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the services on June 10, 2022. • The bid opening was held on July 1, 2022, and three bids were received. • The Procurement Manager recommends awarding contracts to Juniper Landscaping of Florida, LLC, SFM Landscaping Services, Inc., and Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc. • The contracts will include a performance incentive for a contract time extension for vendors that meet performance standards.
