Backwater Valve Program

The Metropolitan District’s Backwater Valve Program seeks on‑call professional plumbing services, CCTV inspections, and sewer‑lateral inspections to prevent sewer backups and remove groundwater discharge from the sanitary system. The program will award multiple three‑year contracts (with two one‑year optional renewals) to qualified SBE‑certified, MBE, or WOSB plumbing firms. Selected contractors will install backwater valves for district customers on an as‑needed basis, following a fixed‑price schedule outlined in Appendix A. • Scope includes installation, maintenance, and inspection of backwater valve systems and related sewer infrastructure. • Qualification requires SBE/MBE/WOSB status and submission of a Statement of Qualifications per Part III of the RFQ. • Five firms were awarded: Allpoints Plumbing, Boisvert Plumbing, Clog Master, Premier Sewer & Camera, and Service Relief.
