Description
The Town of Exeter awarded a construction contract for the Lary Lane Groundwater Treatment Plant, a new pressure‑filtration facility designed to treat up to 1.56 MGD of groundwater with future capacity expansion to 2.06 MGD. The scope includes the plant building, process equipment, SCADA integration, pump‑station upgrades, a new precast pump station (alternate), and approximately 6,200 ft of new water‑main transmission piping using horizontal directional drilling, including a river crossing. Funding is sourced from a $6.3 million loan from the New Hampshire Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Bids were sealed and submitted by March 10, 2014, and the contract was awarded to Apex Construction. The project is expected to be completed in 2015, with standard performance and payment bonds required.
