Imagination Center at Reindahl Park

The City of Madison is constructing a new public‑works facility – the Imagination Center – at Reindahl Park, combining a library and community pavilion on an 87‑acre site. Corporate Contractors Inc. was awarded the contract on a cost‑plus‑fee with a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) basis, with a base construction value of roughly $12.26 million and an optional photovoltaic (PV) alternate valued at about $300 k. The project includes full site work, structural steel, concrete, masonry, roofing, glazing, interior finishes, MEP systems, fire protection, AV/technology, site furnishings, landscaping, and a solar‑shade structure, and must meet LEED Silver standards and a suite of state and local codes. Key milestones require a start by 10 April 2025 and substantial completion by 10 September 2026, with numerous pre‑installation meetings and strict sequencing (e.g., new bike path must be completed before demolition of the existing path).
