The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Downtown Radio Improvements. The project aimed to enhance the existing radio system to increase talk-in and talk-out coverage for CBJ field subscriber units in the Downtown District. The scope of work included providing a turn-key solution, performing studies and mapping to determine the viability of the proposed system, and conducting coverage tests. The RFP included requirements for equipment, site civils, program engineering, testing, installation, training, and maintenance services. However, no proposals were received, and CBJ is re-evaluating the current needs of the department.
