IMPROVED LOT MOWING – CODE COMPLIANCE

The City of Palm Bay is seeking vendors to provide Improved Lot Mowing services for properties within the city. The contract requires vendors to remove all materials normally encountered or created by mowing maintenance activities, and to complete all work within 14 calendar days after being notified. The city estimates that approximately 200 improved properties will need to be mowed per year, with an average lot size of 80 feet by 125 feet. Vendors will be paid only for properties that are actually cut, and will not be paid for time/travel or mobilization of equipment for any lots that are not cut due to conditions beyond the city's control. • The contract may result in multiple awards, such as primary and secondary contractors. • The city will notify contractors on an "as needed" basis to maintain and clean-up properties that are substantially deteriorated with growth of vegetation. • Contractors will be required to provide pricing for improved lots up to 1/2 acre and 1/2 to 1 acre in size, as well as for unimproved lots. • The city believes that the service required is adequately described in the contract document, and any negotiated contract may include the entire effort required of the proposer to provide the service described.
