Forensic Pathology Services

The Ocean County Board of Commissioners has awarded a contract for Forensic Pathology Services to four vendors: Peter Mazari, M.D., Elizabeth A. Rouse, M.D. (Forensic Medicine Specialists, LLC), Dante Ragasa, M.D., and Karabi Sinha, M.D. (Pathology Consultation Services, LLC). The contract is for a period of one year, from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, and has a maximum value of $700,000. The services to be provided include forensic autopsies and homicide autopsies. Key aspects of the contract include: • The contract is a Professional Services Agreement, awarded in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5 of the Local Public Contracts Law. • The vendors are licensed physicians authorized by law to practice the profession of medicine. • The contract is contingent upon the adoption of the 2024 Temporary County Budget and the 2024 County Budget. • The funds for the services will be available in budget account number 016-286-4414.
