Description
The contract is for the provision of special education services, including speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, school psychology, and other related services. The contract is between the Board of Education of Howard County, Maryland, and The Stepping Stone Group, LLC. The contract has a term of three years, with an option to renew for an additional four years. The contract value is not to exceed $8,499,244.00 annually. The contractor is required to provide all goods and services in accordance with the requirements set forth in the solicitation documents. The contractor is also required to exercise no administrative authority over the work of employees of the Board, but shall act only as advisers in those fields in which they are qualified to offer expert assistance.
• The contract includes provisions for compensation, term, billing and payments, taxes, contractor's representations and warranties, assignment, delegation of duties, fee prohibition, nondiscrimination, background investigation, employment of child sex offenders and persons with uncontrolled access to students, political contribution disclosure, retention of records, compliance with specifications, liability for loss of data, delays, extensions of time, liquidated damages, annulments and reservations, termination, independent contractor, insurance, indemnification, notices, governing law and venue, waiver of jury trial, confidential information/proprietary rights, student data privacy, software platform terms, technology-based instructional products, drug, tobacco, and alcohol, conflict of interest, lobbying, and ethics review panel, multi-agency participation, non-hiring of employees by contractor or HCPSS, certification regarding U.S. government debarment, suspension, ineligibility, and voluntary exclusion, severability, integration and modification.
