Professional Services for Teaching Lab Renovation (Bio Unit 1)

The contract is for professional services in the disciplines of architecture and engineering for the planning, programming, and design of the 27,000 gsf remodeling of the Bio Unit 1 Building at FSU. The project aims to consolidate lower-level and specialized teaching labs for the FSU Department of Biological Sciences into one location, providing associated administrative and support space. The selected design firm will provide planning, programming, design/construction documents, and construction administration. The project delivery system will be construction management at risk. Key aspects of the project include: • Remodeling of the second floor of the existing Biology Unit One Building • Upgrading mechanical, electrical, piping, and ITS systems • Providing planning, programming, design/construction documents, and construction administration • Using construction management at risk project delivery system • Completing the project by January 1, 2026
