Egress/Ingress Fire Safety Project

The Egress/Ingress Fire Safety Project involves the removal of brush/vegetation along approximately 162 miles of County roadways. The work must be completed by March 31, 2022. The contract was awarded to 2C Land & Timber Management Corp. The bid price for the project is $720,965.28. The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary machinery, tools, apparatus, and other means of construction, and to do all the work and furnish all the materials specified in the contract. Some key features of the contract include: * The contractor must bid each item, and failure to bid an item shall be just cause for considering the bid as non-responsive. * The contractor must provide a bid bond in a sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. * The contractor must enter into a written contract within the time specified in the instructions to bidders, and must file two bonds with the County of Nevada, one to guarantee faithful performance and the other to guarantee payment for labor and materials. * The contractor must complete all work by the bid, in accordance with all requirements of the contract. * The contract may be renewed for an additional term upon mutual written agreement.
