Auction Services

This contract is for auction services provided by Bay Area Auction Services, Inc to the Pinellas County School District. The scope of work includes pick-up of auction items, cataloging, assigning lot numbers, consolidation and arrangement of auction items, determining sale prices, storage, pre-sale advertisements, vehicle detailing, auctioning services, and reporting. The contract has a term of 2 years, starting from November 6, 2024, and ending on November 5, 2026. The contractor will be paid a commission based on a percentage of the gross sales, before taxes. The district may require annual reporting of expenditures and program activities paid for with program funds. • The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities, and supplies required for the provision of auction services. • The contractor shall provide security for auction items in its possession. • The district reserves the right to transport auction items to the contractor's auction site. • The contractor shall transport auction items within five business days of notification by the district. • The contractor shall provide standard detailing for titled vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, and cleaning the inside and outside of the vehicles. • The contractor shall sell vehicles "As Is". • The district does not guarantee the condition and quality of any items submitted to the contractor for auction. • The contractor shall provide a signed, written receipt to the district for those auction items taken into its possession. • The contractor shall be responsible for any loss and/or damage to auction items, including but not limited to fire, theft, or malicious damage.
